this tune is a bit left of center for us, it was also written by an outside songwriter(marc dillon, another fellow garageband artist)...not really sure how to catagorize it...it's a mix of americana, alt. counrty(a catagory which should exist on here)and punk rock. it's basically a trucker tune about those long trips from point A to point B. i think we've stepped up our production a bit in comparison to our other stuff.
Signature Review
For your love I can hear The Beatles in the opening guitar chords and the Yardbirds in the song. It's got that mid-sixties pop/rock sound to it with the minor chords and slightly distorted strummed electric guitars. The drums give the song a repetitive rhythm due to the continual hi-hat and ride cymbal. I'd have prefered some variation in that department. However the ending was really tight and well performed. Lead vocals were well suited to the music and lyrics - shouted rather than sang, but with good control. Good song from a band with obvious talent.
there's a woman back at home, wonders what the hell became of me...and she's in love with something that i'm not, and that i'll never be. if you would only listen, then maybe i would stay...but you can see no other, but your only, lonely way.
